The Pros:Java based (easily portable to any platform that suports Java).
The Cons:High CPU load. Java based (slow, ram hungry, etc...). Does'nt recognize ports which other clients easily do.
Vuze (formerly Azureus) is a Java-based BitTorrent client, with support for I2P and Tor anonymous communication protocols. In 2003, the core developers of Azureus formed a company called Vuze, Inc. (formerly Azureus, Inc.
)
The program's logo is the Blue Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates azureus). The Azureus name was given to the project by co-creator Tyler Pitchford, who uses the Latin names of poison dart frogs as codenames for his development projects.
Azureus was first released in June 2003 at SourceForge.net, mostly to experiment with the Standard Widget Toolkit from Eclipse. It is now one of the most popular BitTorrent clients. Released under the GNU General Public License, Azureus is free software.

#vuze Azureus has been the way to go for me on my Mac so far.
I've since wizened up. I used to have a very old version but since I've upgraded the bloat has become frighteningly apparent. This program is WAY bigger than it needs to be, adds dozens of features I'll never use, and bogs down my computers. I've since ditched it and now use Transmission for the Mac.

#vuze I'd say as far as a torrent client built on Java they did a great job - but Java isn't exactly optimal for that kinda thing.

#vuze I have used this a bunch, but really only on my linux machines. I find its far to bloated being on the java platform... uTorrent is far better if you are using windows.
