#notepad This is one of the best text editors I have used. Not only that it recognizes several formats and highlights text, it also allows editing files in multiple tabs, shows line numbers and other interesting features.

#notepad I really like Notepad++ - been using it instead of UltraEdit for awhile - bit lighter and had the features I want.

#notepad I used this program when I learned Java back in college. Since everything is color coordinated, it easy to keep your code well formatted and neat. Anyone who codes in a markup language would find this useful.

#notepad I love this program. I have a shortcut key on my MS keyboard that opens up Notepad++ and I use it for note-taking, and, ironically, product report writing for ProductWiki. (I used Notepad++ to start this report for example) It's also great if you have to wrangle with HTML, XML, JS, and whatever the web throws your way. The regex replace is very powerful. Recommend!
