The Pros:Large selection of free channels. Lots of HD content. Possible to get recommendations based on ratings of other shows.
The Cons:Video quality is not always high. To rate a channel you have to find it in the guide rather than selecting it in the subscribed channel list.
Originally known as Democracy Player, Miro is an open source Internet TV and video player. Users can subscribe to various channels and download freely available content from around the world. Miro also includes library management features such as expiring old videos and not downloading new content until current content has been watched or removed.

#miro I came upon a strange realization last night. The volume control in Miro is set to maximum by default. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but the audio is amplified past its cutoff point. Thankfully, it's an easy fix... set the volume bar to about 50% and your audio should sound normal again.
