HTC Sense UI
Released October, 2009
The Pros:Customizable "scenes" to make multiple phone customized home screens. Scenes can be setup to automatically change for work, weekend, and night mode. Excellent user experience.
The Cons:Some tasks (photo taking) can have sluggish performance. Adds a proprietary layer to an otherwise free-as-in-freedom operating system. Requires a powerful smart phone - with a powerful processor.
HTC Sense is a user experience, based on the TouchFLO 3D UI, developed by HTC for mobile devices running Android. It features highly customizable, time-responsive (work, weekend, etc.) themes built on top of the functionality found on top of Android.
The first phone announced with this UI was the HTC Hero, followed by the HTC Tattoo. Both have Q4 2009 US release dates.
