The Pros:Compatible with any OS and browser - including mobile browsers (as long as it is compatible with the latest HTML5 standard). Open source. Easy to expand with extensions.
The Cons:Drag'n'drop file functionality is not yet supported in HTML5. High volume waves place a strain on client-side hardware. Dead project as of August 2010 due to poor adoption.
Google Wave is an open source server-side software platform for real-time collaboration and communication between any number of individuals. Utilizing the latest HTML 5 standard, Wave runs in any current compliant browser.
