aSimpleHappyMan: #east_tec_eraser_2010 I've defragged my whole disk and defragged the registry and done everything I could to get more space, but all to no avail.

And then I downloaded East-Tec Eraser from dotTech and hey Presto! 35Gb returns from the valley of Vista shadow copies and deleted but not erased files!

After a complete disk clean by East-Tec Eraser my PC now has 35 extra Gb and when you've only got 222Gbs to play with anyway that is a lot!

How utterly blooming fantastic!

What a marvellous product!

Amazing, absolutely amazing and it's only the free edition Oct 28, 09

Yale: Not really, somebody savvy enough can always recover data off of the platters - even if they're partially smashed / dented / warped in some way or another. My bet is there *is* a software method that is more secure than a hammer. Degaussing or some form of complete physical obliteration is probably the most secure method. Dec 10, 10

Chris Allen: #east_tec_eraser_2010 This application does exactly what it says on the tin! I have used it since 2006 with great effect! It's "Wipe Entire Drives" feature is great when disposing of old computers and/or hard drives. I can rest assured that all data on these has been erased beyond recovery. Customer Service is also excellent and very comprehensive. I love it! Jul 29, 09

Anonymous: I own East-Tec Eraser, and I find it's wide range of capabilities to be impressive. It seems to be able to erase confidential or private information from every area of every program that might be storing confidential data that you could possibley think of. Nov 17, 10
