Album Hunt is a website that gives registered user's access to links to free music album downloads via sites such as Rapidshare and zShare. The links are added by users. Registeration is free, however there is a paid upgrade that removes ads and link-wait timers.
There are monetary prizes for the top three users who post the most links each month.

#album_hunt I use this as an alternative to bitTorrent because it doesn't require port forwarding, which I can't control on my router (My Dad won't give me the password for the configuration utility). The database isn't large, however new stuff is constantly being added. It's good for more popular albums, but they didn't get any Sufjan Stevens up until about a week ago.
