The Pros:Prevalent - wide user base. Powerful and fully featured for developers. Little to no restriction on created property.
The Cons:The main cause of a lot of crashing - poor system integration. Really slow and system intensive - heavy for certain functions, older machines, mobile devices. Not supported by many large tech giants such as Microsoft and Apple.
Flash is a proprietary, cross platform media tool / platform by Adobe. Allowing for a high level of graphics as well as computer programming logic to be executed, Flash can be used for a variety of purposes - from website development, to games to online video players.

"breaks" expected browser behavior for the user .. back button, selecting text, refresh, etc.
